Maybe Tomorrow by Boori Pryor
I am always reading and this current book is very precious and close to me. After working almost two years in a very remote Aboriginal community, reading Boori's autobiography makes me both laugh and cry.
from the back cover:
To feel happy about yourself, you must feel happy about the place you live in. To feel happy about the place you live in, you must get to know that place. To get to know that place, you must ask the people who have lived there the longest, the Aboriginal people. We have the key that can open the door to the treasures of this land.
This book is a treasure in itself and I urge you to read it and laugh along with Boori's amazing memories and outlook on life.
p.s. it is 42 degrees in the shade of my little home right now...missing the margaret river rain and cold already!
