Sunday

this is

my best friend {since I was 5} and me with dreadies!

Life is one big road with lots of signs.

So when you riding through the ruts, don't complicate your mind.

Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy.

Don't bury your thoughts, put your vision to reality.

Wake Up and Live!

Bob Marley

This is my favourite band of all time.

Bob Marley.

Ahhh, He was my idol. and still is really.

I fell in love with his groovy tunes when i was 7- yuppers, 7- and would dance around my yard to his soothing voice and words. My family listened to his cassettes on long drives to the cottage and sang along together.

I named my cat kaya {after a perfect song by bob}, and my dogs are marley and Rasta.

I even had dreadlocks for 3 years. Hung a giant rasta flag over my bed, and went to Ziggy Marley concerts as it was as close as I could get to the real thing!

Perhaps the funniest thing I did was joining the highschool choir so i could go on a trip to Cleveland, Ohio and see one of his dreadlocks {that's right-ONE DREADLOCK!} in the rock and roll history museum.

Thanks to curlypops via handmaiden for this weeks this is theme.

It was not an easy task to pick one...music is so important to me and my life has quite literally had a soundtrack to it that i can remember each moment as time passes. But the task sounded like it needed to be the one that stayed till this day and created some very special memories. Thanks Bob;)

When my daughter was just a wee tiny baby one of the few things that would get her to stop crying was bouncing her to Bob Marley.

Needless to say, I spent my first few months of motherhood doing A LOT of dancing and bouncing to Bob :)
